....So today (27+6) is mine and my OH's (Nick) one year anniversary, and no not of getting married but of actually getting together. Now I know what you are probably thinking, you've been together a year and you're already over six months pregnant?! Yes it's shocking I know, but these things happen I guess, the in's and outs (no pun intended) of how it happened are something for another blog entirely, as they were slightly odd circumstances (in my mind at least). This blog is more about what we are doing for our anniversary. So tonight I am being taken out for dinner (bring on the tomato and mozerella salad mmmmmmm...). Something I am so very looking forward to for numerous reasons; I've not had any 'quality' time with Nick in ages (Minds out of the gutter please, that is not what I'm talking about, and again is a topic for another blog, I should really start writing them down so I can remember what ideas I've had!), I am being taken to one of my favourite places to eat Zizzi's (Yummy italian food, think pizza express but much nicer), I get to make an effort and dress up (the underlying reason for writing this blog), and last but not least we're actually getting out of the house (dun dun dun shocking!).So back to the point, I get to dress up and make an effort. Not something that happens very often (though I am going to a wedding reception in a few weeks time so will need to then) and oddly enough it's happened more since I've been pregnant (Much to Nicks delight and I quote "I should have knocked you up ages ago, you dress so much nicer now". Insulted much?). Unfortunately as in the last few weeks I have suddenly developed a 'proper' bump this might be a bit of a problem. I have absolutely no idea what to wear! If I were a fabulously rich WAG I would simply go shopping this afternoon and buy something stunning, however in reality I am a mere office worker (who has approximately £2.30 bus fair until tomorrow) with bills coming out her ears and a car in the garage being repaired for an as yet undisclosed amount! So I shall just have to make do with what I have (not that much). I guess I will just have to go and dig something out and try and make it look new and interesting, not sure how though! I don't even have and jewellery or anything, urgh, I should have been more prepared and borrowed some shouldn't I. Sometimes I wish I had worn more than the same old jeans and t-shirts before I was pregnant, it would have made this so much easier (especially when I feel like a total heffer and manage to get out of breath just walking up the stairs, not really too good for the old self esteem!!).So the success of my night is down to my old make up bag full of nothing interesting and a jewellery collection that consists of about three necklaces, I shall just have to think of something interesting to do with my hair?! Again I am clueless! It looks like I wil just have to hope for the best tonight while battling the demons inside my head (You look frumpy/fat/hideous/thunder thighs/etc etc etc) and if that fails I will just eat a massive pudding to make me feel better!Wish me luck!xx
